Sarper Sesli and Erman Balkin are no strangers to the world of overlanding – in fact Sarper operates his own tour business ‘Ride The Earth’ and previous to that managed BMW’s Rider Academy in Istanbul.
Last month the pair returned from a fantastic trip which saw them ride all the way from the Cape of Africa to the Turkish capital.
Both using Anlas Capra X tyres, the duo rode north through the arid deserts of Namibia, before heading east across the narrow corridor to Zimbabwe where they had the chance to visit the breathtaking Victoria Falls and run a marathon that just happened to be taking place at the time.
Once in Zimbabwe they turned north once again, eventually crossing the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania and arriving at the equator in Kenya.
The pair ran into trouble at the Ethiopian border, where a bureaucratic nightmare unfortunately saw the trip come to an abrupt end and the bikes were eventually shipped back to Istanbul.
Still, they both covered more than enough miles to put the Capra X through it’s paces.
