Nifty Fifty Endurance charity event

After the quagmire-like conditions experienced during the previous of the Nifty Fifty Endurance, much of Team Venture’s time has been spent cleaning the mud from every nook and cranny of the mighty 50cc Yamaha Neos.

Thankfully there was no sign of rain this weekend at Route 34 Motocross Park near Winchester for round three, the track long since turned from wet and boggy to dry and dusty much to the delight of the 50 teams taking part for various charities.

Unfortunately for Team Venture, our Brand Manager Graham was otherwise unavailable, but Peter Hutton and British Superstock rider Sam Coventry were able to rope in Terry Stride and Rowan Miller last minute to join them for the 5-Hour endurance.

Team Venture are raising money for the fabulous Courage Foundation, who help for support children and their families following the loss of a sibling.

The opening round saw them come home top of the Auto 50cc class, although the second round proved a huge struggle as the Neos burned through two clutches as it struggled to cope with the thick mud.

Conditions were certainly more favorable this time around, and despite an engine change mid-event they completed 133 laps to finish behind fellow 50cc competitors Vote for Mopedro and Chariots of Dire in third place.

The Neos has been fitted with the Anlas Winter Grip 2, a mud and snow rated scooter tyre which offered excellent traction for the whole event on Saturday.

The final event this year takes place in September, and we look forward to joining Team Venture on track once again.
