The Capra R from Anlas is a 70/30 adventure tyre, aimed at riders who spend the majority of their time on the road, but who may decide to test the capabilities of their ADV bike off-road too.
Here in the UK we’ve been experiencing some pretty poor weather so far this year, and it seems they’ve been having a similar problem in Italy too.
However, this has done nothing to deter the dedicated team at online magazine Moto Spia, who have been out in all weather conditions to test the Capra R on their 2010 Suzuki V-Strom 1000.
After taking it easy during the scrubbing in period due to the wet weather, they were gradually able to pick up the pace and were soon impressed by the “great stability in the long-haul corners and on the motorway at speed” despite the large tread blocks.
Thankfully the wide drainage grooves in the Capra R tread pattern make light work of the rainfall, allowing both the front and rear tyre to provide reassuring grip for a more relaxed riding experience.
In the wet, Moto Spia awarded the Capra R an impressive 9/10, and they’ll be testing them out in the dry as we head into spring both on tarmac and dirt roads.
